Pampling Hits Jackpot in Vegas

Rod Pampling took a drink from the fountain of youth this week and earned his first PGA Tour win in over ten years.  The 47 year old Aussie canned a 32 foot putt to seal his victory at the Shiners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.pampling

Pampling started off the week with a sizzling 11 under par 60 and backed that up on Sunday with a 65 to top Brooks Koepka by two shots.  This is his third career PGA win and he last won at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2006.

In those ten years Pampling had lost his PGA Tour card on two occasions and had spent plenty of time playing on the Web.com Tour.

“Coming back from what we had the last few years, to get the win under the belt, it’s phenomenal,” he said.

This win gives him a spot on the tour until he turns 50 and can transition to the Champions Tour.
