With an extra day this week before the next FedEx Cup Playoff as The Deutsche Bank starts on Friday we get to enjoy a little bit more of Kuch. Matt Kuchar’s win at The Barclays was just what Tim Finchem and the tour needed. With all due respect to Phil and Tiger, there are plenty of other good golfers on this tour. Matt Kuchar is one of them and more than that he is one of the most humble and personable players out there. Last year the playoffs started with relative unknown, Heath Slocum taking down the big guns. This year it starts with Kuch making a statement for the nice guys. Lord knows I have a soft spot for the nice guys, the approachable guys, the guys who are comfortable in their own skin. Matt Kuchar is one of those guys. Take a few minutes and enjoy Kuch and his humility and openness. He’s truly one of the really good guys.
