Great Golf Continues

So you thought that the Ryder Cup signaled the end of the golf season.  No way! There is still plenty of golf left to be played.  All the tours are in action this week, some with their stars, some without.

Davis Love III is hosting the PGA Tour at his home on Sea Island, Georgia at the newest PGA Tour stop The McGladrey Classic. Matt Kuchar, Zach Johnson and Davis give the event a little Ryder Cup feel.

The Seniors are wrapping up their major season with their fifth major, yes, fifth major, at The Seniors Players Championship in Maryland.

The LPGA starts up again at the Navistar LPGA Classic in Alabama.  The ladies are back in action after playing only three tournaments in the last two months.  There is no truth to the rumor that they are considering a name change to the Ladies Part-time Golf Association.

The best tournament of the week takes place in Great Britain, just like last week.  The European Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship may have the greatest combination of quality courses and rich history in all of golf.  This tournament is played out over St. Andrews Old Course, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie, enough said.

It’s a busy week on The Golf Channel.  Enjoy.
