Ben Hogan didn’t win majors early in his career. It wasn’t until he was 34 that he won his first major at the 1946 PGA Championship. Prior to his near fatal auto accident he had won three majors and after his return to play he was able to win six majors in a three year span on a pair of gimpy legs. Included in those six were his two Masters with the first coming 1951.
