Friday at Pinehurst was another glorious, but warm day. We watched all the leaders go through a bunch of holes including the brutal par 3 sixth which played at 245 yards. We also spent time, in the shade of course at holes 8,9,10 and 14.
One of the highlights of the day was spotting Amanda Dufner as she followed her husband around. Duf shot a four over 74 and missed the cut. Amanda was definitely having a much better day.
I can’t say enough about this golf course and how impressive it is. Kaymer’s dual five under rounds are really special. Golf fans have to wake up and realize that there is more to these majors than just Tiger, Phil and Rickie.
We cut the night short due to an early tee time at Whistling Pines Country Club. Yes, life is good.
