Dustin Johnson Looking for Revenge at The PGA Championship

It’s PGA Championship week and our last major of the summer.  I don’t care what new tag line the PGA uses to promote their flagship event (This is Major) to me it’s always “Glory’s last Shot”.

The number one topic all week is Dustin Johnson’s return to the scene of the crime in that infamous bunker where he grounded his club.  The penalty cost him a spot in the playoff and is one of the many near misses he has had at winning his first major.

With all the talk about Johnson many forget that it was Bubba Watson and Martin Kaymer who did make it to extra holes with Kaymer coming out on top.

Both Kaymer and Watson have gone on to win majors while Johnson has faltered each time he has been in contention.

Could the debacle at Whistling Straights be Johnson’s most historic major finish?  That would be too cruel.

He’ll be trying to take some revenge on Whistling Straits this week and deservedly so.  It and the PGA probably owe him one.
