Counting down to next week’s U.S. Open with a look a holes 7 & 8.
The seventh is a long par four that starts a stretch of four very difficult holes. A 479 yard par four bordered by deep rough and even deeper bunkers.
The par 3 eighth hole lists at 252 to 288 on the USGA’s website but the scuttlebutt is that it will play as the longest par 3 in U.S. Open history at 300 yards. Where doe it stop? 300 yard par 3’s…my god.
