Justin Rose solidified his place atop the Official World Golf Rankings as he bagged his tenth PGA Tour title. Rose started the day three ahead and after a shaky start, two over par after five holes, his lead was down to a single shot. But a determined and resurgent Rose righted his ship and was five under the rest of the way as he held off Adam Scott who staged a resurgence of his own.
Rose gave himself a pep talk early on, “You’re No. 1 in the world for a reason, just start playing like it, please,” and he certainly responded. His three under 69 was good enough for a two shot margin over Scott and another week or two as the top golfer in the world.
