Our Crew Picks The Masters Winner

It’s finally here, the most anticipated day in golf: The Links Life Golf Masters Picks. Oh, and The Masters starts today too.

But first things first. The crew at Links Life Golf thought long and hard over this year’s picks as year long bragging rights is just as good as that old green jacket.

Gordo from the Great North won’t see green grass until July so he’ll have to wait to test out his new golf cart. He Likes Jordan Spieth, John Rahm and Paul Casey as his winners, Jason Dufner as his Dark Horse and Bubba Watson to miss the cut.bubba jordan 2

The Greek, also known as Mr. Rehab likes Rory McIroy, Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson with Louis Oosthuizen as his Dark Horse. Kiradech Aphibarnrat is his choice to miss the cut. He gets extra points for spelling too!

Lil Skins, who is happily awaiting his own Lil Skins, wants a Sergio Garcia repeat, Rory Mcilroy to get his grand slam and Tiger Woods to really make his comeback complete. Shubhankar Sharma will justify his special invitation as his Dark Horse and he is downright mean-spirited towards Spieth and Bubba as he wishes them gone early.

George R. who profiled his favorites earlier here and here likes Rory and his slam, Spieth to get another green jacket and Justin Rose to get a second major. He picks Patrick Cantlay for his Dark Horse. Hideki Matsuyama’s number sixth world ranking means little to Geo R. as he picks him to miss the cut. Bold choice, bold choice.

Andy The Sheriff took some time away from his Tim Tebow Fan club duties to name Tiger, Rory and Henrik Stenson as his winners. Adam Scott gets his vote for a Dark Horse and Patrick Reed gets no respect and misses the cut.

Big Dick goes with some big names to win with Rory, Bubba and Tiger. He likes Webb Simpson as his Dark Horse and gives Charley Hoffman no respect with a missed cut.phil rory tiger

Big Skins: I like some favorites to make history here. Rory to complete that career grand slam with Phil to earn his fourth green jacket. Jordan may have found his missing putting stroke so I’ll include him with my winners. I am looking for Daniel Berger to prove me right as my Dark Horse and unlike Big Dick, I am thinking Webb will be heading down Magnolia Lane on Friday night.

Interesting selections one and all. But noticeably absent from all of our picks is the number one golfer in the world. Last year Dustin Johnson came into The Masters on a roll but socks, a slippery floor and some stairs knocked him out of a tournament he was the favorite to win. Now, we give him no respect.

The wait is over, The Masters is here, have fun and hopefully will have a great Masters and a deserving champion come Sunday night.
