Kevin Na Proves He’s The Boss

Kevin Na has been on the PGA Tour since 2004 and has made a fairly good living ($25 million) with his one PGA Tour win. But, mention Na’s name and immediately you think of slow play…and I mean slow. Na has earned a reputation for being one of the most tedious golfers on tour. But he has made strides in playing quicker but normally when Na comes on the screen my clicker is in hand and I am looking for something else while he dawdles away.

But today was different. And Na gave us one of the most entertaining Thursday finishes of the season. Playing the ninth hole as his last of the day he pulled his drive way right and had little chance of hitting the green that is fronted by a pond and guarded by bunkers.

His caddie of ten years, Kenny Harms was hoping Na would play it safe because “over the green was dead” and “you’d have to hit a 40 yard cut” is what he told his boss.

The following exchange, where Na and Harms go at each other was the most entertaining moment of Na’s career.

After Na pulled it left he was lucky to get a drop and then to prove that the boss is always right…he chipped it in. Of course he has to rub it in and told Harms, “I told ya!” Hysterical.

Oh, and his chip in gave him the lead at the Fort Worth Invitational. You can’t make this stuff up.
