When me and my golfin’ boys tee it up we always like to bust chops. And when one of us makes a bonehead shot we hear about it. And that’s pretty often since at best we are nothing but hackers.
One very popular comment occurs when a player stripes a drive down the fairway and then doesn’t take advantage of it. We have all done it…killed a drive and follow it with a chunk or a top or a skull and next thing you now we are writing down a triple bogey from the middle of the fairway.
If you’re in our group and do that…this it what you’ll hear, ”Nice drive asshole.”

Tiger Woods’ much anticipated U.S. Open return got off to good start with him striping an iron down the middle of the fairway today. The driver has been his worst enemy recently and being able to use iron off plenty of Shinnecock tees is a blessing for Woods. But you got to follow a good shot with another one.
Unfortunately for Tiger he airmailed the green on the first hole, missed a flop shot and a chip and just like us before he knew it was writing down a triple bogey seven. Nice drive asshole…and welcome to our world.
